Our recruitment is managed through the Recruitment and Selection Procedure, coordinated by the Recruitment Bureau for non-medical appointments and the Medical Staffing Department for medical staff recruitment. Vacancies are published in the national, local and specialist press depending on the post.

The Recruitment Department visits local schools, participates in job fairs and Job Shop week in conjunction with the Employment Service.

New staff joining the Trust undertake a multidisciplinary corporate induction programme during their first week followed by specific departmental induction, and there is a separate programme for medical staff. At this stage all staff will receive a copy of the Staff Charter.
