The innovative Locomotor pain and physiotherapy service based at St Leonard’s Hospital, has been short-listed for three more prestigious national awards.
The therapist-led service has been nominated in three of 20 categories for the Health Service Journal Value in Healthcare awards:
- improving the value of diagnostics
- specialist services
- training and development of staff.
Last year, the Locomotor Pain Service won the Grunenthal Pain Award and was shortlisted for the HSJ Innovation award.
Elizabeth Slee, Deputy Head of the service said: “We are delighted to have been short-listed again for the HSJ Value in Healthcare awards. It is continuing recognition of the innovative work being done by our service in supporting patients in our local community.”
The award winners will be announced on May 24 2017.
