Accident and emergency
Everyone goes to an Accident and Emergency department somewhere and at some time in their lives. Everyone. It is the place of first resort, quite often when it shouldn't be. A&E departments have an enormous responsibility and workload and it is always growing. The Homerton A&E sees over 120,000 new patients every year, adults and children, who present with a variety of conditions.
