Obesity surgery
Homerton Hospital’s Centre for Laparoscopic Surgery provides specialist ‘keyhole’ surgery for a wide range of conditions, and is one of the few NHS centres in the south-east providing a full range of surgical solutions to obese patients.
Our multi-disciplinary approach will ensure that you are consistently supported throughout your treatment with us, and that you can access the right advice and support at the right time. All our treatments adhere to the latest NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence) guidance.
Services available
We offer a range of obesity surgery to ensure that we can find the most suitable and appropriate option for you. Surgical solutions available include:
- adjustable gastric banding
- sleeve gastrectomy
- gastric bypass (Roux-en-Y and duodenal switch).
Further information is available by clicking on each procedure.
Making an appointment
To access our specialist obesity service, you will need a referral from your GP or another hospital consultant. This is usually dependent on you having already tried other treatments as recommended by your GP.
