Oral maxillo-facial, head and neck surgery

We deal with the diagnosis, treatment and management of conditions affecting the thyroid, head, face, mouth, teeth and neck.

Treatments are mainly based in main theatres, day stay unit and outpatient clinics.

Services offered

Most conditions are assessed in the oral and maxillo-facial, head and neck surgery  outpatient clinics, and conditions diagnosed and treated include benign and malignant lesions of the thyroid, head, face, mouth and neck, which includes skin and oral cancers. 

Other specialist treatment includes:

  • thyroid and parathyroid surgery
  • dentoalveolar surgery
  • salivary gland disorders
  • temporo-mandibular joint disorders
  • facial deformities and reconstruction.

We also run a joint maxillo-facial and dermatology multidisciplinary clinic for patients with skin cancers of head, face and neck. 

With our intensivists, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and outreach nurse practitioners, we also provide a weekly multidisciplinary tracheostomy team meeting and ward round. 

We run a one stop thyroid/neck lump clinic with radiologists for thyroid and other neck pathologies.

Making an appointment

We hold outpatient clinics on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays (alternate weeks) and Fridays.

Appointments can be made through your GP and dental practitioner.
