I arrived before that person; why are they being seen first?
Sometimes you will see someone walk to the reception desk, sit down for a few minutes and then be seen. They may well have come the previous day, waited and having been assessed been given an appointment for which they have now arrived.
Maybe a patient is seated in the A&E waiting area and they should be in PUCC and are simply being shown the way.
Why have I not been seen after two hours?
We receive a minimum of 20 patients per hour, sometimes as many as 40. They all have to be assessed before they can be directed to the appropriate treatment area.
Some conditions are more urgent.
