We aim to provide evidence based acute pain management for all patients in acute pain, and provide training and education for patients and their carers, and the hospital staff who care for them.

The patients we see are inpatients who have either had a surgical procedure or who are referred for advice on managing acute pain. We use up-to-date skills and knowledge for individual assessment and treatment. We work closely with the chronic pain service.
