Guidance covering the range of testing available through the Homerton Pathology service and specific test requirements necessary for a given assay may be found by means of clicking on the Pathology Test Directory link box or navigating to the discipline-specific test directories listed in the panel to the left. Click here if you require information on dynamic function testing or other specialised sampling protocols.

If you have either a full or partial test name or know the clinical features associated with a given condition/disease you may search by these to establish the appropriate laboratory investigation required.

If you are unable to find the test you are looking for please contact the laboratory concerned for further advice.

EPR users: if the test code you require is not listed please indicate in the clinical details section of your order which assay(s) are needed and request: "Special Chemistry,"Special Microbiology" or "Special Immunology test" in your electronic order.

Specialist clinical services  run from Pathology:

Specialist services are provided to a wide catchment population across the City and Hackney catchment area. We provide specialist services in the following areas:

  • OPAT clinic (outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy)
  • Specialist lipid clinic
  • Returning traveller clinic

In addition, the Haematology department (link available to HUH users only) runs the following Specialised clinics:

  • General Haematology
  • Anticoagulation
  • Specialised anticoagulation clinic for patients on new anticoagulation therapies (NoAcs)
  • Sickle Cell and Thalassemia (including an annual review of these patients)
