Support groups
Are you aware of the following support groups?
Hibiscus support group for bereaved parents
For those grieving the loss of a baby, who died before, during or shortly after birth. This is a small, caring group, where bereaved parents meet in a confidential space to exchange their experiences, thoughts and feelings.
The group meets at Homerton every second Tuesday from 7.30pm to 9pm. People can attend as many sessions as they wish, but it is expected that they attend at least three consecutive meetings.
Cancer support group
It can be difficult for patients with cancer to find support, particularly if they are trying to protect family and friends from their worries and fears. A group has been set up for individuals, who would like to meet with others who have been told that they have cancer.
The first meeting will take place on 7 March and will run for three months. Meetings are held every Friday from 11am to 12.30pm at St John at Hackney Church.
To receive more information about the group and how to join, please call the Revd Nadia Pfaff at Homerton on 020 8510 7773 to arrange for an informal chat and/or visit.
