The welcome pack, placed by every patient bedside, combines all the information that our patients need during their stay.

Information includes:

• facilities at the hospital
• what to expect on the ward
• visiting arrangements and discharge planning
• how to identify different members of staff
• security and patient confidentiality
• meals in the hospital
• infection control
• available support services.

The guide was developed following patient feedback, and staff and Foundation Trust members were consulted along the way to ensure that the information included was correct, relevant and easy to understand.
