Deputy CEO appointed as new Chief Executive at Homerton
Bas Sadiq has been appointed as the new Chief Executive at Homerton Healthcare and Place-based Leader for City & Hackney Health and Care Partnership.
Bas, who has been the Deputy Chief Executive at the Trust for the past 10 months, steps up to the CEO role replacing Louise Ashley who is retiring.
An experienced director, with 20 years in the NHS, Bas started her career as an outpatient receptionist in 2004 before taking up her first management post in 2006.
Before joining Homerton, she was the Chief Improvement and Strategy Officer at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. Prior to that Bas has held senior operational roles in both acute and community trusts.
She said: “I am delighted to be taking on the CEO’s role at Homerton Healthcare and leading the development of partnerships and alliances in City & Hackney.
“Having grown up in Haringey and worked in every acute trust in north east London, my roots run deep in this part of the capital. This connection has instilled in me a profound appreciation for the communities we serve. I am very proud and excited to be taking up this role and look forward to continuing our work with colleagues in the local authorities and third sector in providing the very best of health for local people.”
