The (Level 2) Patient Moving and Handling Training course is devoted to the theory and practice of safe patient handling including current best practice in practical patient handling techniques. This course is delivered by a clinical specialist and not all roles require this level of training. You will be informed by email furing your induction if you are required to take this training.

Resuscitation training, appropriate to need, is provided on a regular basis. All clinical staff are expected to attend basic life support training once a year.
There are two parts to the training:
We all have a responsibility to give the Right blood to the Right patient.
This is a mandatory classroom course for all clinical staff. It is required to be undertaken every two years.
Non-medical staff who need this course will be booked as part of induction
Resident doctors will be booked for a class with medical edcuation

If you will be working with children, it is imprtant that you complete this training where you will learn more about safeguarding issues in children and young people.
