Recruitment for volunteers is open

We have reopened our recruitment for a limited period and for a limited number of roles. Please note that some of our roles are based out in the community. All the roles are Homerton Helper positions, providing support to patients and staff across Homerton Healthcare.

Some roles are based on the hospital site, while others sit within our community services.

Do you want to achieve any of the following; make a difference, gain experience by volunteering in a busy healthcare setting, give something back, learn new skills or meet new people?  If you do then you can reach any one of these goals by volunteering to join the team of Homerton Helpers.

Introducing Homerton Helpers

Volunteers come from all sections of the community and have different motivations for getting involved. But they all have one thing in common - a commitment to give their time for free to improve patients’ experience of their hospital stay.

“Hospitals can be pretty daunting places for many of us. Our fantastic team of volunteers make such a difference. They provide a friendly face and extra support to ensure patients and visitors feel welcome and comfortable. They are the heartbeat of our organisation” Bas Sadiq, Chief Executive.
