Seeing Isn’t Simple: Making Sense of Vision and Perception in Acquired Brain Injury
Visual and perceptual problems are common after brain injury and can have a huge impact on someone’s ability to engage in daily life. As OTs, we play a key role in spotting these issues, carrying out initial screening, and knowing when and how to refer on. This course will offer a mix of theory, hands-on learning, and case discussions to help OT’s feel more confident in assessing and supporting clients with visual and perceptual difficulties. It is an introductory level with intermediate elements. The course will be facilitated by neuro-specialist MDT practitioners including occupational therapists, a neurologist, neuropsychology and orthoptics.
