Damien Régent has been appointed as a new Non-Executive Director

Damien Régent has been appointed as a new Non-Executive Director by the Council of Governors. He replaces Rommel Pereira, who leaves having completed two terms for a total of six years on the Board of Homerton Healthcare.

Damien is an experienced board member with a finance and risk analysis background.  He has worked in multiple industries ranging from banking and capital markets to internet start-ups, healthcare, social housing, and charities including Crisis (the homelessness charity) and Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).  He is currently a Non-Executive Director and Audit and Risk Committee Chair at two NHS Foundation Trusts – Kingston and Richmond (which he expects to retire from in late September 2025) and Oxleas.

Damien will chair the Audit and Risk Committee.

He said: "I’m very pleased to be joining Homerton Healthcare as a Non-Executive Director. The Trust has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality care and for its deep connection to the local community. I look forward to contributing my experience in finance, governance, and risk management, and to supporting the Board in its oversight role. As Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee, I’m committed to helping ensure the Trust continues to operate with transparency, accountability, and resilience."
