Our impact

Stories from our supporters, the work we've done, and impact we've had.

Through the generosity of our funders, partners and supporters, Homerton Hope brings additional care, comfort and wellbeing to patients, families, staff and the wider community. By securing charitable grants and developing meaningful partnerships, we support projects that enhance NHS services and improve people’s experience of care, providing support beyond what core NHS funding can deliver.

Creating greener spaces for patients and staff

Funding from the Bupa Foundation and London City Airport has helped Homerton Hope improve outdoor garden spaces for patients, families and staff.

The funding supported the introduction of new plants, planters, seating and other features that have made the spaces more welcoming and accessible.

These gardens provide places where people can step away from busy wards and clinical surroundings to rest, reflect and spend time in the fresh air.

For patients, a pleasant outdoor environment can provide a welcome change of surroundings during treatment or recovery. Families can spend quieter time with their loved ones, while staff can take restorative breaks during demanding working days.

These improvements have helped transform underused outdoor areas into welcoming spaces that support wellbeing, connection and a more positive hospital experience.
