Becoming Simulation Faculty (BSF) workshop
Who is it for: All staff - Multi-professional
Aims:
The Becoming Simulation Faculty national programme supports the development of a multiprofessional faculty of educators, practitioners, technicians and managers from higher education institutions and NHS organisations who want to design, deliver and evaluate simulation and immersive learning.
This will include a follow up Day 2 (by arrangement) to consolidate de-briefing techniques.

Anaesthetic Critical Incidents (ACI)
Who is it for : Anaesthetists CT1 +
Aims :
· To gain knowledge of the principle causes, detection and management of critical incidents that can occur in theatre
· To be able to recognise critical incidents early and manage them with appropriate supervision
· To learn how to follow through a critical incident with reporting, presentation at audit meetings, and discussions with patients
To recognise the importance of personal non-technical skills and the use of simulation in reducing the potential harm caused by critical incidents m caused by critical incidents

Aims :
ST3 Paediatrics Communication Day is a focused training course designed to enhance communication skills for resident paediatricians across a range of grades and specialties.
The day features a variety of realistic, case-based scenarios reflecting common and challenging situations encountered in paediatric practice. Participants will engage in structured, facilitated sessions that promote effective communication with children, young people, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.

Trauma Team Member Courses (TTM)
Who is it for: Multi-professional. Emergency and Acute Care staff including ODPs/ODAs and radiographers.

• Contemporary trauma care in the UK

Understanding Human Factors and the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF)
A simulation course designed to aid the understanding of Human Factors around incidents using a SEIPS approach under the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework. The training will equip the participants to instigate and conduct a SWARM huddle as a learning response following an incident.
Training is available for people involved in After Action Reviews. Contact the QPS team to find out more. There are plans to procure training for people engaging with patients, families, & colleagues, and people in oversight roles.
This is an all-day (9:00-17:00) face to face course that takes place in Homerton Hospital Education Centre

Ultrasound – Core Ultrasound Course
Who is it for: This course is suitable for trainees and CESR candidates working towards entrustment in the RCEM core point-of-care ultrasound curriculum. The course would also be suitable for consultants wishing to refresh their knowledge and skills.
Aims: The combination of blended learning will aim to maximize hands-on scanning time.

Ultrasound – Advanced Point-of Care
Who is it for: This course is suitable for trainees and CESR candidates in emergency medicine with at least some experience in point-of-care ultrasound, who have either achieved or are close to achieving Entrustment Scale 4 for the RCEM core ultrasound curriculum.
Aims:
Day 1 of the course aims to deliver advanced POCUS techniques, including those required for ultrasound guided procedures (paracentesis, pericardiocentesis, thoracocentesis), and would also be suitable for doctors in acute and intensive care medicine, working towards either FAMUS or FUSIC (non-heart) accreditation.
Day 2 of the course aims to deliver POCUS techniques useful for assessing critically unwell patients, particularly those with hypoxia and cardiovascular instability and would also be suitable to doctors pursuing the FUSIC Heart accreditation.
