The Homerton blood test service is moving to the main hospital site from Wednesday 7 January
From Wednesday 7 January, if you are referred to Homerton Healthcare for a blood test by your GP or a Homerton clinician, the test will now take place in the phlebotomy (blood tests) portacabin clinic on the Homerton University Hospital site.
What you need to know
- The new clinic is located outside the hospital building; you can walk there from Homerton Row through Gate 1 and following the signage on the footpath (see map for walking directions from the hospital main entrance and from the previous clinic location).
- You will no longer be able to have a blood test at the Lower Clapton Health Centre.
- You can still have your blood test at John Scott Health Centre if your GP refers you there.
- There are no toilet facilities in the blood test clinic, please use the toilets inside the main hospital building. Please use our digital map to find the best route to the nearest toilet facilities.
What you need to do
Homerton Healthcare operate an appointment booking system on Swiftqueue. If you are referred for a blood test by your GP or Homerton clinician, you will need to use this system to book your appointment.
