If you are joining the Trust as a Doctor, please complete the HMT below.

If you have records of completeion form another Trust, please forward them to Medical Education

All the online learning learning is completed in ESR using Learning Certifications. You can find more information about how to do that  here.

As well as the subjects below, all staff must also complete the following online using Learning Certifciations in ESR:

  • Patient Safety Level 1 - all staff
  • Dementia Awareness - Tier 1
  • Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disabilitis and Autism Part A
  • Freedom to Speak up - all workers

For face to face classes, the information in the topic will explain how to enrol

Moving & Handling Level 1

Level 1 - Moving and Handling Training is devoted to the theory and practice safe object handling including practical demonstration of techniques.

If you have been given access to ESR, please complete it using that otherwise it can be completed on the eLearning for Health hub.  See this guide for details

Preventing Radicalisation

Radicalisation is the process by which people come to support terrorism and extremism and, in some cases, come to be part of terrorist groups. It has far-reaching implications across a spectrum of socio-economic groups.

Blood Transfusion

We all have a responsibility to give the Right blood to the Right patient.

This is a mandatory course for all clinical staff. It is required to be undertaken every year. The duration is 60 minutes and it is delivered virtually using Microsoft Teams.

You will be booked onto the course during your induction but if you have any problems, please contact huh-tr.hmt@nhs.net

IPC Level 2

The aim of infection prevention and control (IPC) is to prevent patients and health workers from becoming ill due to avoidable infections and antimicrobial resistance.

This is even more important in the current pademic, to support the safe and efficient management of patients with suspected or proven covid-19 or other respiratory diseases.

Resuscitation: Adult Basic Life Support Level 2

Resuscitation training, appropriate to need, is provided on a regular basis. All clinical staff are expected to attend basic life support training once a year.

There are two parts to the training:

  • Part A - an e-learning package which should take no more than 20 minutes. You will need a computer with either speakers or headphones. If you have been given access to ESR please complete it using that system, otherwise  Complete using this link  Please send a screenprint of the results showing the topic, date and result to huh-tr.statmandtrng@nhs.net
  • Part B - is a face to face assessment of chest compressions and bag valve mask technique, this should take no more than 10 minutes. 

Safeguarding Children Level 2

If you will be working with children, it is imprtant that you complete this training where you will learn more about safeguarding issues in children and young people.

Please complete this using Leaning Certifications in ESR

Doctors working ED, children's services or Starlight or Radiology or Obs & Gynae will complete Safeguarding children level 3 instead.

Safeguarding Adults Level 2

Safeguarding adults means protecting a person’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect. All staff within health services have a responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of patients and colleagues.
