Adult Safeguarding Team
The Homerton Safeguarding Adults Team consists of specialist Safeguarding Practitioners that have close working partnerships with key partners and members across The City of London and London Borough of Hackney. We provide expert training, advice and support to all staff members within the Trust and community.
Safeguarding Adults’ means protecting an adult’s right to live in safe and well, without the risk of and being free from abuse and neglect. This applies to adults whom appear to have care and support needs, even if these needs are not being met by the Local Authority Social Services for example, and cannot protect and safeguard themselves, may fall under the Safeguarding Adults category as stated in the Care Act 2014 legislation.
