Please note:
If the pregnant person or their supporting adult have a positive lateral flow test then they are required to isolate for 10 days. When this happens routine pregnancy care will usually be rearranged until after your isolation period.
However it is vital that you still access all urgent/ emergency care. Please contact the Maternity or Early Pregnancy department on the details below to discuss the next steps if your or your support adult test positive.
If you asked to come for a scan or appointment during your isolation period please attend alone.

For early pregnancy care (before your Midwifery booking)
If you have an appointment  in the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit – please telephone the receptionist on 020 8510 7861 8.00-18.00, Monday to Friday and Saturday 10.00-14.00 to arrange the next steps. In an emergency please attend A+E.
As a guide emergency scans (e.g. for suspected Ectopic pregnancy) will go ahead but non-urgent scans (e.g. fertility baseline scan, reassurance baseline scans) may be postponed.

For maternity care (after your Midwifery booking)
If you have an antenatal scan or appointment – please telephone your Midwife or call the Maternity helpline on 02085105955 10.00-18.00 daily to arrange the next steps.
As a guide most scans and appointments will be postponed but you may be asked to come if there any concerns about the wellbeing or you or your baby.

Please always attend hospital (A+E before 18 weeks and the Obstetric Assessment Unit on Delivery suite afterwards) if you have vaginal bleeding or feel your waters may have broken, are experiencing significant pain, headaches, visual disturbance, severe itching or swelling of the hands, face and feet  or feel there has been a change in your babies movement.
