Shaping Our Future, Together - for staff

As someone who works at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation trust we want you to help create our long-term plan; our strategy that will shape our future together.

Over the last weeks and months we have been asking you, our people, to shape the strategy that will guide what we do over the next five years to better support you, our patients, our communities, and our partners, and how we do it. We have also been having these conversations with our patients, communities, and partners across health and social care in City and Hackney and North East London.

We've been inviting you to share your thoughts so that we can

  • Be clear about our values – we have a set of organisational values for Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, but are they right for Homerton Healthcare and the world we’re in now? How has our experience of Covid-19 changed what we think about them?
  • Be clear about our direction – where do we want to go as Homerton Healthcare, and how will we know when we get there? How do we want to talk about ourselves, and hear others talk about us?
  • Be clear about our priorities – which of the opportunities and challenges that we face do we need to focus on? How do we make sure we are here for everybody that needs us? How do we make the tough decisions, even where there may not be a ‘right’ answer?

Look out for regular updates on what's coming next on the intranet, in HomertonLite, and on noticeboards.

Future Together Group

The Future Together Group is group of staff from across the Trust, who represent the diversity of our community. They have been reaching out to you about the future of Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, where our strengths lie, where we need to improve, and how we can do that.

Group members engaged with staff to listen to and collect feedback from across the Trust on where and how the Trust should develop.

Thank you to everyone who has shared their views with the Future Together Group. The group are now busy writing a report of findings and recommendations based on the conversations they had with colleagues across the Trust. They will present this to the board in the coming weeks.

Your honest conversations with the group will be an important part of developing the new Trust strategy. Both the Future Together Group and the Board are committed to making sure your feedback is both heard and responded to.
